3 qts. milk
2 1/2 c. sugar
8 eggs
3 tsp. vanilla, or flavoring of choice
pinch of salt
Fresh peaches-peeled, pitted, chopped, and sweetened with sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Beat eggs together, add sugar and salt, mix well, thin with a little of the milk. Put about half of the milk in a double boiler and heat until thick enough to coat the back of the spoon. Then, slowly stir in the egg and sugar mixture to the milk, mix well. Stir in the remaining milk and vanilla. Add sweetened peaches and stir. Cool in the refrigerator before freezing. Use a churn, or electric freeze and freeze custard according to directions of your machine. Makes 1 gallon.
