Lemon Bars Recipe

1 c. flour
1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. powdered sugar
2 eggs
1 T. lemon juice
grated rind of 1 lemon
1 c. sugar
2 T. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
2 T. butter
1 1/2 T. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix together the crust ingredients. Press into a baking pan. Bake at 325 for 10 minutes.

Mix together the filling ingredients, pour over crust and bake 30 minutes or so.

Mix together frosting ingredients and spread on cooled bars.

*Variation: Omit frosting and sprinkle powdered sugar on top of bars.
