3 T flour 3/4 c sugar dash of salt 1 1/2 heaping T coco 1 1/2 c milk 1 T butter 3 egg yolks pie shell
Mix first 4 dry ingredients and blend into milk. Add butter and cook stirring until hot. Put some of the hot mixture into the egg yolks and stir. Pour this back into the hot mixture. Stir constantly until thickened. Pour into prepared pie shell.
egg whites may be used to make meringue if desired.
