6 2/3 C. cup water
8 Tbl butter
4 Tbl lard
3 tsp salt
4 tsp sugar
7 C. instant potato buds
(Potato mixture will be about 11 cups when finished)
5 C. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Bring the water, butter, lard, salt & sugar to a boil. Add the milk and instant potato buds. Beat well and chill overnight. In morning, mix 2 cups potatoes mixture with 1 cup flour. Make into balls. Continue this process until you have used all the potato mixture.

Roll balls out into 15 in. pancake-like rounds. Place the round on the lefse griddle, approximately 3 minutes on each side.

Allow Lefse to cool. (although its awful good warm!). Serve quarter of round with butter and sugar (brown or white). Store in Ziploc bag in refrigerator, folded in quarters. Recipe makes 33 rounds. Lefse can be frozen & thawed later.
