3/4 cup sugar
2 Tbls flour
1 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp salt
6-7 cups thinly peeled and sliced apples

Topping:
1/2 cup butter (cold)
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 cup flour

Filling:
Combine apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. Precook in microwave 5 minutes. Stir. Micro 5 minutes. Stir. Micro 2 minutes longer. Pour into pie shell.

Topping:
Blend flour and brown sugar. Slice margarine and blend into flour and sugar with pastry blender or fork. Cover pie filling with topping.

Cover with foil and bake at 425 for 25 minutes. Uncover and reduce heat to 350 and continue to bake for 15-20 minutes longer or until bubbly and golden brown.
