1/4 cup butter
4 cups sifted powder sugar
2 unbeaten egg whites
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp cream of tartar
1-2 tsp light cream

Directions:
Directions:
With pastry blender, cut butter into powdered sugar. It will look like cornmeal. Add egg whites, vanilla and cream of tartar. Beat thoroughly. If using a pastry tube, stir in light cream until frosting is a little stiffer than spreading consistency. Tint with food coloring.
