1 Pkg.(30 oz) frozen shrededed hash brown potatoes(thawed), 1 cup sour cream, 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, 1 cup cream of chicken soup, 1/2 cup chopped onions, 1/4 cup butter(melted), 2 Tabl. chopped parsley, 1/2 teasp. pepper, 1/4 teasp. salt,

Directions:
In large bowl combine all. Transfer to ungreased 2 qt. baking dish. Bake uncovered 350 degrees for 1 hour. Topping, 2 cups crushed cornflakes and 1/4 cup melted butter. This can be cut in half.

Can be made a day ahead and ref. till you cook it. Mom always cuts this in half.
