Ingredients:
4 1/2 cups flour
1/3 cup sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 pkg. dry yeast
3/4 cup milk
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup margarine
2 eggs

Directions:
Mix 1 c. flour, 1/3 c. sugar, 1 tsp. salt & 2pkg. undissolved dry yeast.
Heat 1/2 c. margarine, 3/4 c. milk & 1/2 c. water until liquids are very warm (120-130 F). Add to dry ingredients & beat 2 min. at medium speed, scraping bowl occasionally. Add 1/2 c. flour & 2 eggs. Beat at high speed 2 min. Stir in enough flour (about 3 c.) to make a very stiff batter. Cover tightly. (The container should allow some space for the dough to rise.) Refrigerate 2 hours to 2 days. Turn onto floured board and shape as desired ( dinner rolls, cinnamon rolls, etc.) Place on greased baking sheet or pan. Let rise until doubled (45-60 min.) Bake at 375 F for 20 min. or until done. (Makes approx. 24 rolls)

Personal Notes:
Rolls will be lighter if flour is sifted before measuring. I sometimes use 1/2 batch of dough to make a tea ring (circle with about 12 cinnamon rolls). After baking, spread icing over the rolls and decorate with pecan halves and pieces of red and green candied cherries for Christmas. I also use this dough to make rolls similar to kolache, pressing down the center of each roll and adding 1-2 tbsp. of cherry or blueberry pie filling right before baking.
