3 scant cups sugar
2 stick butter (soft)
6 eggs, separated
3 cups sifted cake floud
8 oz. sour cream
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp soda
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325. Grease and flour stem pan.
Sift flour and soda three times. Cream butter and sugar. Add egg yolks one at a time. Add flour alternating with sour cream. Fold in beaten egg whites. Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes.

This is the best sour cream pound cake ever. Mamaw (Lucile Yarbrough) carried it to many family functions. Every time I've made it, people want the recipe. It has the best crunchy top.
