1/2 cup sugar
3 eggs- separated
2 tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
2 cups milk
1 tsp. vanilla
5-6 bananas
vanilla wafers

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar and flour. Mix well, add milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until it boils. Beat egg yolks, add some hot mixture from pan - stir and pour slowly back into pan. Cook, stirring constantly until thick, add vanilla. Line bottom of oven proof dish with wafers, bananas, pudding- continue to layer ending with pudding. Options: Beat egg whites to make meringue. Cover top with meringue and bake until light brown. If this step is omitted place wafers on top of pudding- do not bake.
