1/2 stick margarine
3/4 cup flour
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup milk
1 tsp. baking powder
2 cups fresh or canned fruit - your choice

Directions:
Directions:
Melt margarine in 8 or 9 inch square pan.
Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and milk together. Mix until smooth and pour on top of melted margarine. Spread fruit over top of batter.
Bake at 350 about 30 minutes.

Personal Notes:
Mother sometimes would sprinkle white sugar over top before baking. It makes it crunchy. She used can milk often. In that case make sure you use equal amounts of water and milk.
