Base
1 pkg. Pillsbury Yellow or Butter Flavor Cake Mix
1/3 c. Margarine or Butter (softened)
1 Egg

Filling
1/2 c. firmly packed Brown Sugar
11/2 c.Dark Corn Syrup
1 tsp. Vanilla
3 Eggs
1 c. Chopped Pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Reserve 2/3 c. of cake mix for filling. In a large bowl, combine remaining cake mix, margarine and 1 egg at low speed until well blended. Press in bottom of 13x9 greased pan. Bake @ 350 for 15-20 minutes or until light golden brown.

Filling
In large bowl combine 2/3 c. dry cake mix, brown sugar, corn syrup, vanilla, and 3 eggs at low speed until moistened.Beat 1 minute at medium speed or until well blended. Pour filling over warm base ; sprinkle with pecans. Bake additional 30-35 minutes or until filling is set. Cool Completely,cut in bars.

Makes 36 bars
