1 1/2 lb. beef round steak
1/4 cup flour
1//2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1/4 cup cooking oil
14 oz. can diced tomatoes
1 3/4 cups water
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 small cloves garlic
1 Tbsp. beef flavored gravy base
1 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 lg.green peppers (cut into strips)
cooked white rice

Directions:

Cut beef steak into 1/2 inch thick strips Coat with flour, salt and pepper mixture. In large skillet brown strips in 1/4 cup hot oil. Drain tomatoes reserving the liquid. Add liquid from the tomatoes and the water, onions, garlic ( mince or crush first) and the gravy base to the browned steak. Cover, simmer 1 hour. Meat should be tender. Uncover and stir in 1 1/2 tsp of Worcestershire sauce, cover and cook for 5-10 minutes more. Serve over hot cooked rice.
