"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain
This recipe for Impossible Cheeseburger Pie, by Kate C, is from The EWEN Family Cookbook Project,
one of the cookbooks created at FamilyCookbookProject.com. We help
families or individuals create heirloom cookbook treasures.
1 lb ground beef 1 cup chopped onion 1/2 tsp salt 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese 1 cup milk 1/2 cup Bisquick 2 eggs
Preheat oven to 400º. Cook beef and onions in a large saute pan until beef is no longer pink. Drain all fat off mixture. Stir in salt. Spread in a greased 9" pieplate; sprinkle with the cheese. Stir remaining ingredients with fork in a medium bowl until blended. Pour this mixture into the pieplate. (This makes a nice crust for the pie) Bake at 400º for 25 min until knife comes out clean.
This is a Bisquick recipe that really is impossible to mess up....
