2 T. orange peel, grated
1/4 c. orange juice

1 tsp. orange peel, grated

1 c. powdered sugar

Soften yeast in warm water. Heat shortening with milk to melt. Combine with sugar and salt. Allow to cool. Place 2 cups flour in large mixing bowl. Add milk mixture and mix well. Add eggs and yeast. Mix well. Mix in orange peel, orange juice, and remaining flour. Cover & let rest (10 minutes).

Place on cookie sheet covered with parchment paper. Cover and let rise 35 minutes.

Preheat oven to 400 . Bake bread knots for 12 minutes. Meanwhile, mix together orange icing ingredients. When bow knots are removed from oven, and begin to cool, spread with orange icing.
