1/2 cup butter 1 1/2 cups sugar 2 eggs 1 3/4 cups flour 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 teaspoon soda 1/2 cup buttermilk or sour milk 2 1/2 mashed bananas 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Beat together the butter, sugar and eggs just until smooth. Sift the flour, baking powder and soda. Mix with buttermilk. Add to the first ingredients. Add bananas and mix. Add the walnuts. Bake at 350º for about 45 minutes or longer depending on the size of the loaf pans.
