1 1/2 c. milk
5 eggs
2 T. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. salt
12 slices bakery homestyle bread or French bread
8 oz. spreadable cream cheese, softened
6 - 8 T. strawberry jam or preserves

Directions:
Directions:
In a large bowl whisk together milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla, and salt. Pour into baking dish and set aside. Spread cream cheese evenly on one slice of bread. Spread jam across another slice: then sandwich the two slices together. Repeat with remaining slices.

Lay sandwiches in baking pan to soak up milk. Flip. Place sandwiches on heated skillet over medium heat and cook 1 to 3 minutes or until golden brown. Turn and cook the other side. Serve with desired toppings: syrup, fresh strawberries, confectioners sugar
