1 -2lbs beef cubes, raw-do not brown
1 C. celery, chunked
6 carrots, peeled & chunked
4 med. Potatoes, quartered & peeled
1 lg onion, cut into 8 pieces
1 Tbl. Cornstarch
1 tsp. sugar
2 C. tomato juice or V8 juice
1 bay leaf
Salt & pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all together & put in covered roaster, put a bay leaf on top & cover tight. Bake for 5 hours at 250 degrees. Do not open while cooking.
