1 1/2 C Shortening
2 C Brown Sugar
1 C Sugar
2 Eggs
1/2 C Water
2 tsp Vanilla
2 C Flour
2 tsp Salt
1 tsp Baking Soda
6 C Oatmeal
1/2 C Coconut (optional)

Beat shortening, sugar, eggs, water and vanilla together till
creamy. Add flour, salt, baking soda and blends in well. Stir in
oatmeal and coconut. Drop on cookie sheets. Bake 350 for 12
minutes. Make about 5 dozen cookies.
