1 can whole clams
chicken broth
1 onion chopped
1 cup chopped celery
6 peeled and diced potatoes
salt and pepper to taste
1 pint of half and half

Directions:
Directions:
Empty clams with juice into soup pot, add onions and celery, bring to a boil add potatoes and cover with chicken broth cook until potatoes are done. Drain and return 1/2 of the potatoes to pot, and mash, return rest of potatoes, salt and pepper to taste, and, add half and half, heat through.

You can do the same for potato soup, just leave out the clams. For corn chowder add 1 can whole kernel corn and 1 can cream corn.
