1 1/4 c. sugar
1/3 cup shortening (part butter)
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
Sift together
1 1/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
add
1/2 c. chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
350 30-35 minutes
Cream sugar, eggs and shortening together. Add dry mixture and then chips.
Bake in a 8x8 pan.
Cool and cut into squares.

This was a family favorite of the Allen's especially my brother Gary. Aunt Charlotte Lucky is my father's (Ty Allen) sister and she always had a pan ready when we went to New Jersey to visit them.
