1/4 cup butter
1/2 brown sugar
1/2 c pineapple spears

1/2 c nuts or cherries if desired.

1/4 c fat
1/2 c sugar
1 egg beaten
1 1/4 c flour
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 c milk

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter and sugar in a heavy pan. Add drained pineapple and nuts or cherries. Add this batter.

Cream the fat add sugar carefully, creaming until light and fluffy. Add egg, beat thoroughly. Sift flour baking powder and salt together. Add alternately to first mixture with milk. (Add flour first and last ) Pour over pineapples. Bake 50 minutes at 350
