3 cans 1 lb 3 oz Sugaree Sam's Yams
1/6 c bourbon (or more to taste)
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 c butter (1 stick)
marshmallows (small)

Directions:
Directions:
Heat yams in their juice until simmering. Drain yams then mash in mixer with butter. Add rest of ingredients. Don't add the fibers that collect on the mixer handle.
Bake uncovered until hot about 30 min at 350F.
If they've been in the fridge, take them out 1 hr before cooking and bake for approx 1 hr.
Place marshmallows on top and broil until lightly toasted.
