Ingredients:  
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 cup water
Bring to a boil in an 8 inch pan
Pastry:
1 cup flour
1/4 tsp salt
1tlb baking powder
3 tbsp melted shorting
1/3 cup milk for a stiff dough

Roll on lightly floured board to 1/4 " thickness.
2 large apples, cored but not pared.
1/2 cup seedless raisins

Directions:
Put through food chopper using coarse blade. Spread over dough and roll like jelly roll. Cut in 1/2 " slices. Place in syrup in pan and bake in hot oven for 20 minutes. Serve with whipped cream
