2 to 2 1/2 lbs. meaty chicken pieces (breasts, thighs, and drumsticks)
1 can pineapple tidbits with juice
1 bottle LaChoy Sweet and Sour sauce
2 tbsp. red wine vinegar
1 tbsp. soy sauce
1/2 tsp. grated ginger root or 1/8 tsp. ground ginger
1/8 tsp. onion powder
1/8 tsp. ground red pepper
4 green onions, bias sliced into 1 inch pieces
Hot cooked rice

Rinse chicken; pat dry. Place chicken pieces, skin side down, on the unheated rack of a broiler pan. Broil 4 to 5 inches from the heat about 20 minutes or until lightly browned. Turn the chicken pieces, skin side up, and broil for 5 to 15 minutes more or till tender and no longer pink. Meanwhile, for the glaze, in a small saucepan stir together pineapple tidbits, vinegar, soy sauce, ginger, onion powder, red pepper, and sweet and sour sauce. Heat through and keep warm. Stir green onions into hot cooked rice. Place rice mixture on a platter. Place chicken atop; spoon glaze over chicken.
