4 large apples (any kind) we use red delicious
8 Tbsp. brown sugar
4 Tbsp. butter (melted)
4 cinnamon sticks
2 c. ginger ale

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 375. Wash and core apples. Cut a slice off bottom of apple so it will sit upright. Place in deep glass dish. Melt butter in bowl and add brown sugar. Fill center of apple with butter mixture. Twist a cinnamon stick in core. Sprinkle cinnamon on top of apple also.
Fill bottom of pan with ginger ale and bake for 40 minutes. Baste apples every ten minutes with the liquid, filling the core to the top. Apples are done when they are fork tender.
