1 hen
1 lb. lean stew beef
3 pints potatoes, mashed with no seasonings
2 cups dry navy beans
lb. bacon, grind raw
2/3 box cooked barley
1 gallon tomato juice
cup onions, ground
tsp ground cloves
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Cook hen and stew beef. Grind, mix everything together and simmer. IT WILL STICK SO STIR OFTEN. Tastes best when simmered a long time
