1 four lb. pork roast
salt and pepper

Glaze:
1 jar cherry preserves
2 TBSP Corn syrup
1/4 c. red wine vinegar
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp each: cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves
1/4 c. slivered almonds

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325
Rub pork roast w/salt and pepper, place on rack in shallow baking pan. Cook in slow oven 2-2 1/2 hrs.

Glaze:
Combine remaining ingredients, except almonds, in a sauce pan. Heat to boiling stirring frequently.
Reduce heat. Simmer 2 minutes more.
Add almonds.
When meat is roasted, spoon enough sauce over it to make a glaze. Return to oven for 30 minutes more, or until meat thermometer reaches 170. Baste w/sauce during last 30 min. then pass the rest.
