1 cup flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1/3 cup top milk
2 cups boiling water
3 unpared apples, sliced
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon lemon juice

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour with baking powder and salt. Beat eggs and milk together; add flour mixture. Mix well. In wide saucepan, combine water, apples, butter, sugar and lemon juice. Bring to a boil. Drop dumpling batter by tablespoonful in sauce. Cover pan. Cook on low heat for 15 minutes. Serve warm.
