Ingredients:  
1 stick butter, 1 c. sugar, 4 eggs, 1 c. flour, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1 tsp. baking powder, 1 tsp. cream of tartar, 1 can chocolate syrup

Directions:
Directions:
Beat butter and sugar for 5 minutes. Add eggs one at a time. Sift all dry ingredients then add them to the sugar, egg and butter mixture. Blend in the syrup. Pour into oblong baking dish or 2 round greased and floured pans. 350 for 35 minutes.
