1 C butter
2 1/4 C brown sugar, packed
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 C flour
2 tsp baking powder
2 C chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
In saucepan, heat butter and brown sugar over medium heat until they are thoroughly combined (3 or 4 minutes-the sugar does not actually dissolve). In a mixing bowl, combine the eggs, vanilla and butter mixture. Combine flour and baking powder; gradually add to the butter mixture.
Stir in pecans.

Spred batter into a greased 9 x13 pan. Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes or until toothpick inserted near center comes out with moist crumbs and edges arecrisp. Cool on wire rack,. Dust with confectioners' sugar if desired. But into bars. 4 dozen.
