1 cup persimmon pulp
1/2 t. baking soda
1/2 cup shortening butter
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 t. cinnamon
1/2 t.ground cloves
1/2 t. ground nutmeg
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup raisins
1 eggs, beaten

Directions:
Directions:
1- In a small bowl, combine the persimmon pulp and baking soda. Set aside.
2- In the large mixing bowl on medium speed, beat butter and sugar until smooth and creamy.
3- Combine cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and flour. Add flour mixture to sugar mixture and blend together. Add nuts and raisins and mix well.
4- Add beaten egg to persimmon mixture and blend, then add this mixture to flour mixture and mix on low speed.
5- Drop dough by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet.
6- Preheat oven to 300 F. Bake cookies for 25 to 30 minutes. Place on cooling rack.
