1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 t. vanilla
1 1/4 cups oatmeal
1 cup flour
1/2 t. baking soda
1/2 t. baking powder
1/4 t. salt ( optional)
6 oz. milk chocolate chips
3/4 cup walnuts or pecans (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together butter and sugars in a mixer until well blended. Add the egg and vanilla to bowl. Mix well. Place oatmeal in blender. Blend until oatmeal is a fine powder consistency, then add to butter mixture. Mix well. Add flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt to mixture. Mix until well blended. Add: nuts and chocolate chips. Mold into balls. Place on cookie sheet about 2 inches apart. Bake at 375 F for 7 to 8 minutes or until lightly brown.
