1/2 cup margarine, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
3/4 packed brown sugar
1/4 cup milk
2 T. orange juice
1 egg, slightly beaten
3 cups all purpose flour
1/2 t. salt
1 t. baking powder
1/4 t. baking soda
2 1/2 cups cranberries chopped
1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375 F. In a large mixing bowl, beat margarine and sugars until blended. Add milk, orange juice and egg. Mix well on medium speed of mixer. In another bowl, combine the flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda, cranberries (which have been coarsely chopped) and nuts. Blend well. Then add cranberry mix to egg mixture and blend well on low speed of mixer. Drop dough by teaspoon onto a greased cookie sheet, about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly brown. Transfer to racks to cool.
