3 chicken breasts, boned, skinned and cut in half
Ground ginger
Salt
Butter or margarine
1 can cream of chicken soup
3/4 cup sauterne wine
1 can sliced water chestnuts, drained
1/4 tsp. thyme
2 T. chopped green pepper
1 - 4 oz. can sliced mushrooms, drained

Directions:
Directions:
Sprinkle chicken breasts with ginger and salt. Saute chicken breasts until brown in butter or margarine. Arrange chicken in flat baking dish. Using the pan drippings, add cream of chicken soup and wine, stirring until smooth. Add water chestnuts, thyme, green pepper and mushrooms. Bring to a boil and pour over chicken. Cover with foil and bake 45 minutes to 1 hour in 350 oven. Remove foil and bake until done, about 30 minutes. Serve over rice.
