Mix together first 4 ingredients:

1 cup sugar
1/2 cup flour
1/4 cup butter or oleo
1/4 tsp. nutmeg

2 cups sliced fresh peaches
1/4 cup water

Directions:
Directions:
Put half of mixture in an unbaked pie shell. Put 2 cups sliced peaches over this. Cover with remaining crumbly mixture and add 1/4 cup water. Bake in a hot oven at 425 degrees for 25 minutes: reduce the oven heat to 300 degrees and bake 40 minutes longer.

This pie is delicious, however it's better to eat it the same day you bake it as it tends to get soggy if it sets too long.
