3 parts bluing
4 parts water
3 parts salt
1 part household ammonia
coal or stones
aluminum foil

Directions:
Directions:
Place small pieces of coal or fist size stones in an aluminum 9 inch pie plate. Put aluminum foil over stones. Crumple extra foil around stones making hills and valleys so the stones form a mountains. Stir salt, water, bluing and ammonia and pour the solution into plate forming pools in the low areas. In a few days crystals will appear and continue to grow. For more color, red ink may be used in different areas.
