2 1/2 lbs. lean boneless beef cut in 1" cubes
1-12 oz. jar small white onions
4 large carrots quartered crosswise
6 oz. fresh mushrooms, chopped
3 large ribs celery - cut in 1" pieces
1 1/2 c. tomato juice (or V-8)
1/2 c. dry red wine
1/4 c. quick cooking tapioca
2 tsp. salt
2 small bay leaves
1 tsp. basil
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 c. frozen peas

Put in crock pot and cook all day. Add 1 c. frozen peas 20
minutes before serving.
