1/2 cup vinegar
1/2 cup water
1 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon tumeric
1/4 teaspoon whole mustard seed
1/4 teaspoon celery seed

1 head cabbage, shredded
1 onion, chopped
2 stalks celery, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
1 carrot, chopped

Place dressing ingredients in sauce pan and bring to a boil and pour over chopped vegetables. Mix well. Place in air tight container while hot and refrigerate at least overnight. Keeps very well.
