Ingredients:
2 sticks butter, softened
1 c. sugar
1 egg yolk
2 c. flour
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1 (12oz) jar apricot preserves

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and butter. Add egg yolk, mix. Add flour, mix. Pat 1/2 dough into 6x12 baking dish. Spread 1/2-2/3 of the jar of preserves over dough.
This mixture is crumbly, I have found the best way to do the top half is to pat small portions of the dough in my hands and lay over the top of the preserves. Overlapping as you go. This will all smooth out in baking.
Bake at 350 for 40 minutes.
