1 cup white sugar
1 cup white karo syrup
3 eggs
Pinch of salt
3 tablespoons melted butter
1 cup chopped pecans
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Beat eggs until light in color. Add remaining ingredients. Pour into 8" pie shell. Grandma Woodruff always placed her pie shell in oven for a few minutes to dry out bottom and to keep crust from getting soggy. Preheat oven @ 400 degrees until pie in ready to put in. Then bake @250 degrees until pecans float to top and pie has browned, approximately 40 to 50 minutes.

If you prefer the taste of brown sugar you can replace the white sugar listed above. We prefer plain white sugar.
