2 cups and 2 tablespoons flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
1-1/2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
1/2 cup Crisco
1 teaspoon flavoring (your choice)
1/2 cup unbeaten egg whites

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and shortening. Add flavoring. Sift dry ingredients together. Add alternately to creamed mixture with milk; beat 2 minutes. Add egg whites and beat for 2 minutes more on high. Pour into greased and floured 9x13 inch pan. Bake at 325 for 30-35 minutes. Can be frosted or served as a shortcake.
