1 cup peanut butter
1 cup Crisco or margarine
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt

Mix peanut butter, crisco, brown and white sugar. Add eggs.
Whisk or sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Add to butter mixture.
Roll into balls and flatten with the bottom of a glass dipped in sugar. With a fork, criss-cross on the top. Bake at 375 for 12 - 15 minutes.
