2 Tbsps. butter
2 Tbsps. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 Cup milk or half and half
1/2 Cup shredded American or Cheddar cheese

Directions:
Directions:
In a 2 qt. saucepan over low heat melt butter; stir in flour and salt. Gradually stir in milk; cook, stirring, until thickened and smooth. Stir in cheese. Cook over very low heat, stirring, just until melted.
