2 c. milk, scalded
1 c. sugar
1 T. sifted flour
1/4 tsp. salt
3 egg yolks
2 c. cream
2 tsp. vanilla
3 T. butter
1 c. chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, flour and salt, and stir into milk. Cook over direct heat for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir 3 tablespoons of hot mixture into eggs yolks. Immediately stir yolks into hot mixture. Return to heat and cook over simmering water for 10 minutes, stirring constantly until mixture coats a silver spoon. Remove from heat and cool. Stir in cream and vanilla. Chill in refrigerator. Melt butter and add pecans. Heat until golden brown. Add to ice cream just before freezing. Freeze ice cream.
