1 cup raisins 1 cup boiling water 1/2 cup salad oil 1 cup sugar 1 egg, slightly beaten 1-3/4 cup flour 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon soda 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1 teaspoon nutmeg 1/2 teaspoon cloves
Combine raisins and boiling water. Cool to lukewarm. Combine next 3 ingredients. Beat and add to raisin mixture and dry ingredients. Pour into greased 9x13 inch pan. Bake 20 minutes at 375º. Cool. Dust with powdered sugar or frost with glaze.
