1 cup chopped celery
3/4-1 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
1 stick oleo
5 cups canned chicken broth
5 cups toasted white bread cubes
8 cups crumbled cornbread
1/2 lb pork sausage
1/2 tsp salt or to taste
1/4 tsp black pepper
4 eggs slightly beaten
1 cup chopped pecans
giblets from turkey or chicken chopped fine

Directions:
Directions:
Cook celery, onion and green pepper until tender in melted oleo in a heavy skillet. Crumble cornbread into a large bowl. Add bread cubes. Heat the chicken broth and pour over the crumb mixture. Add the cooked celery, onions and pepper and mix well. Cook sausage until browned adding giblets when its almost done. Add to bread mixture along with seasonings, eggs and chopped pecans. Toss lightly to mix well. Dressing may be cooked in an uncovered 13x9x2 pan at 325 for 45 minutes.
