1 c. rice, uncooked 2 c. chicken broth 1 hot pepper 1 bay leaf 1 orange 1 lemon butter or olive oil
Toast the rice in a pot with some butter or olive oil. Add a hot pepper to the rice for some heat. Pour in chicken broth. Add the bay leaf and peel off some of the rind from the orange and lemon into the pot. Bring to a boil. Cover and simmer until done. Remove pepper and rinds.
