4 1/2 cups sugar
3/4 cup cocoa
1/2 lb. oleo (2 sticks)
1 cup milk
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 cups peanut butter (crunchy or creamy)
4 cups quick oats
2 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar, cocoa, butter, milk and sauce in saucepan...Bring to a boil and cook 1 minute. Remove from heat. Add peanut butter, oats and vanilla. Blend together well. You may spread this out in a buttered pan until firm and cool before cutting or you may drop by teaspoonful on waxed paper. Let cool completely.

Our mom always had some kind of a treat for us when we got off the bus after a long ride home from school. This was one of the best!!! Brings back wonderful memories of a great childhood...
