1c. Shortening - Butter Crisco
2c. Sugar
2 Eggs - Slightly Beaten
1/4 Milk
1tsp. Vanilla
3-3/4c. Flour
1/2tsp. Baking Powder
1/2tsp. Cream Of Tarter
1/2tsp. Salt
1c. Chopped Nuts
Sugar to roll cookie dough through

Preheat oven to 375 In a large mixing bowl combine shorteningand sugar. Beat until light and creamy. Add eggs and beat. Combine flour, salt, cream of tarter, baking powder and blend together in a small bowl. Combine vanilla and milk. Add 1/2c. of flour mixture to the shortening/ egg mixture, mix, then add a small amount of the milk to the mixture, mix. Continue until all the flour and milk mixtures have been added making sure all ingredients are mixed well. Chill dough for 10 minutes. When ready to bake, form into 1 inch balls and roll through sugar to coat the dough. Place onto a cookie sheet 1 inch apart. You can flatten the cookie with a fork if desired. Bake a 375 for 10 - 12 minutes
